TEXAS: TOP10 FOR SALAČ IN FRIDAY FREE PRACTICE

Free Practice – #AmericasGP It was a positive first session of free practice for Team Moto2 QJMOTOR GRESINI RACING, who saw both riders within the top 10. Filip Salač was third, Jeremy Alcoba tenth. Light rain complicated proceedings in free practice two: the rider #12 was quick also with used tyres but did not manage to improve his lap time from the morning (2’10.538). Despite that, he was still able to finish 10th overall – a position that currently guarantees him the direct seed to Q2.

Jeremy Alcoba’s feeling with the bike was good in free practice 1, while in the afternoon he struggled in getting up to speed also due to the rain.  The rider #52 is currently only one tenth of a second away from Q2. He will have another chance tomorrow morning to try and get into Q2 from the main door and then eventually aim at spot in the first rows of the grid.

10° – FILIP SALAČ #12 (2’10.538)

“It was a good first day in Texas. We had a good first session, while FP2 were complicated by a bit of rain which prevented us from completing more laps. In any case, we were quick also with used tyres. Let’s continue to work in this direction and see what happens tomorrow!”

16th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (2’10.790)

“We started off quite well in FP1, the feeling was good and I really like this track: this surely gave me extra motivation! During FP2, unfortunately, some light rain began falling and made me miss a couple of seconds that would have allowed me otherwise to go for another lap. I’m not happy with being out of Q2, well we’ll have another chance tomorrow as we know where we can improve.”
