ARAGON TEST DRAWS TO A CLOSE IN POSITIVE WAY FOR TEAM KÖMMERLING

Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 returned to the track less than 30 hours after the disappointing race at Jerez de la Frontera for a very important test at MotorLand Aragón, the Spanish venue that will host one of the last European Grand Prix of the season.

A lot of track-time was needed to continue the evaluation of the new spec tyres arrived in Jerez, which still had some “secrets” to be uncovered: both Gabriel Rodrigo and Riccardo Rossi completed a significant number of laps despite today’s strong winds, and now leave the circuit in a very positive mood ahead of Le Mans.

Rodrigo also managed to complete a number of long runs in order to test the new tyre in race conditions, while for Rossi it was important to be consistent lap-time wise also with worn tyres.

GABRIEL RODRIGO #19

“It was a very positive and important two-day test that gave us a good feeling with the bike. It was necessary to get back on the bike as soon as possible after Sunday’s disappointing result. The wind complicated our work schedule today, but I was fast anyway and now I’m counting down the days to Le Mans. “

RICCARDO ROSSI #54

“I’m really happy. I did a lot of laps – 134 – and kilometres – more than 600. I lapped own my own for the most time and I mainly worked with used tyres, which is at the moment my biggest problem during the race. We did exactly what we planned on doing and now it’s the time to get back home and recharge ahead of France.”
