TEAM DEL CONCA GRESINI EAGER TO RETURN TO ACTION AT BRNO
Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 is ready to resume battle in the Moto3 World Championship as the series approaches its tenth Grand Prix of the season at Brno in Czech Republic. If Fabio Di Giannantonio felt like the summer break was never going to end, Jorge Martin could have used some more days to fully recover from his medial malleolus and heel injuries.
The Spaniard, who is still unable to walk comfortably, has resumed motorbike training and he now hopes to pass this Thursday’s medical examination in order to take part in the racing weekend and battle for a good result on the track where one year ago he enjoyed his maiden podium finish in the series.
Diggia, who was on the podium in Czech Republic with Martin in 2016, is looking forward to returning to the track with the aim of starting the second half of the season on the right foot and getting the long-awaited first race win.
On-track action for the Czech Grand Prix starts at 9:00 on Friday with the first free practice session, which will be crucial to see Martin’s condition – should he be cleared to race on Thursday – after the nasty highside he had during FP2 at Sachsenring on June 30th.
