TYPICAL DAY ONE AT THE OFFICE IN MALAYSIA WITH MARTIN FOURTH FASTEST

The opening day of action for the penultimate round of the Moto3 World Championship has drawn to a close at Sepang with Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3’s Jorge Martin and Fabio Di Giannantonio hard at work to prepare what can be a crucial race for both riders’ championship hopes.

With mixed conditions in the morning and the rain making its appearance halfway through the afternoon session, both riders could only complete around ten laps each.

The young Spaniard and current championship leader did a good job with race pace and tyre evaluation – especially in FP2 – while the good feeling of Diggia in dry conditions is very encouraging ahead of qualifying – which takes place tomorrow morning at 12:35 local time (GMT+8).

4th– JORGE MARTIN #88

“We didn’t push too hard this morning because the track conditions didn’t allow us to be a lot faster than we were. In the afternoon we turned our attention to the race distance and I must say we are already close to where we want to be. As usual, we lapped on our own; it will be important to make another step forward tomorrow and get half a second faster, but we’re surely ready for Sunday.”

13thFABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“Track conditions were noti deal this morning and we were not so competitive, especially because I wasn’t too comfortable with the bike set-up. Thing went a little better in the afternoon, although we had only half a session available on the dry, meaning we still have work to do. I’m still happy with how today went – we are on the right track and without a doubt the feeling keeps improving.”
