DI GIANNANTONIO HAPPY WITH ARAGON TEST

Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 has begun preparations for the fifth Grand Prix of the season, which take place at Le Mans in two weekends, by taking part in a private test at the Motorland Aragón circuit. With Jorge Martin forced to sit out these two extra days of practice, it was Fabio Di Giannantonio the sole standard bearer of the Italian squad to ride around the fast Spanish racetrack.

After a not-too-exciting race performance at Jerez last weekend, the young Italian rider, who is currently fourth in the title race, has worked hard with the team to find some setting improvements, despite high winds hampering his on-track duties – and most likely leading him to a small crash, too.

Few hundreds kilometers away in Andorra, Jorge Martin is recovering from the hand injury suffered in Andalusia – no fractures, but an injury nonetheless. The Spaniard could at least jump back on his push bike to start preparations for the #FrenchGP, hoping to be fit enough to be competitive.

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“It has been a positive test, although the weather conditions were not excellent. The track had good grip but there really strong winds, which didn’t make things easy. We focused on the set-up, which was already good, and I think we have improved some more. We are now faster on corner entry and on quicker throughout fast corners. I’m really happy and looking forward to Le Mans.”
