TEAM DEL CONCA GRESINI MOTO3 HEADS TO AUSSIE SHORES FOR #AUSTRALIANGP

From the rainy autumn of Japan to Phillip Island’s spring, Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 is ready to attack the Australian GP of the Moto3 World Championship with renewed motivation – even though the weather is likely to be similar to the one encountered in the Land of The Rising Sun last weekend.

Despite the weather forecast for the event, Fabio Di Giananntonio and Jorge Martin are looking forward to returning to the track for different reasons: the Italian wants to prove that, with a few laps more, he would have done much better at Motegi, while the Spaniard wishes to return to the previous level of form after a disappointing weekend in Japan.

With a spectacular layout consisting of twelve corners distributed on 4.4km (2.7 miles) and surrounded by a gorgeous scenery, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit will see the first free practice of Moto3 starting on Friday at 10am Local time (GMT +11).

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“If we look back at last year’s performance at this track, we know we can do well at Phillip Island. It’s a track I really like, maybe my favourite one along with Mugello: it’s spectacular to race there, with all the elevation changes and the sea in the background!”

JORGE MARTIN #88

“Australia and Phillip Island without a doubt my favourite country and circuit on the calendar. The idea is to move past the Japanese event and to aim for a strong performance this Sunday. If it’ll be dry, I’m sure we will be able to express our full potential and get a great result with our Honda machine.”
