MARTIN AND DIGGIA TO AIM EVEN HIGHER AT JEREZ

The MotoGP circus is ready for its European debut this weekend at ‘Circuito de Jerez’ in southern Spain and so are Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 riders Jorge Martin and Fabio Di Giannantonio, who prepare to resume battle after the double podium they scored in Texas a fortnight ago.

Jorge Martin, who was amongst the fastest riders in the official test that took place last March, arrives to Jerez with a great momentum on his side: three podium finishes out of the three races that have taken place already this year and the second position in the championship standings. The goal for the Spaniard is now to build on these great results and make two more steps up on the podium in front of his home crowd.

Fabio Di Giannantonio is obviously looking forward to keep racing at the sharp end and get another strong finish after the one secured at Austin. The Italian rider currently lies sixth in the title race and needs some more strong performances in order to make some ground to the top, due to the unfortunate DNF of the Argentine race.

Moto3 action will kick start on Friday May 5th at 9:00 local time (GMT +2) with the first free practice session of the quarter-litre class.

JORGE MARTIN #88

“I really can’t wait to get on track at Jerez, it’s such an amazing track! Fortunately, this year I arrive to the Spanish GP well prepared as I was third quickest there in the pre-season test. The start of the season was really a positive one, with three podiums. We want to keep going this way: hopefully we’ll have a strong start to the weekend, which would allow us this time to challenge for the win.

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“After our podium in Austin, our drive to succeed has multiplied by 100! We’re charged up and our goal is to be in the top-5, if not to get back in the top-3! We found a good base setup in Texas, which will be surely useful at Jerez. We’re only few days away!”
