NAVARRO NARROWLY MISSES OUT ON #SPANISHGP FRONT ROW
Jorge Navarro has put together a strong performance in this second day of action for the #SpanishGP, Moto2 class. The young Spanish rider has claimed fourth place on the grid ahead of the opening race of the European leg of the season – his so-far best qualifying result in the middleweight class of MotoGP.
Qualifying was not easy, however, with high temperatures making the track hard to exploit. The rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 has shown great speed and pace, despite a crash in the closing stages of the session. With some fine-tuning to do during warm up, Navarro is happy with the job done between the two days.
The fourth Moto2 race of the 2018 season will get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).

“It was a positive day no doubt. This morning we got the confirmation that yesterday’s set-up changes were good ones. We finished FP3 in second place and I was able to improve some more the feeling with the bike; despite the high temperatures, we were also strong in qualifying. I crashed out unhurt, but I’m very happy with today even though we will have to work on the engine break a bit more during warm up. The race pace is good, even though I must admit that Baldassarri, Marquez and Bagnaia seem to be a bit quicker right now. Getting on the podium is a difficult task, but we can do well tomorrow.”
