A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR TEAM DEL CONCA GRESINI AT LE MANS
The 2018 Moto3 World Championship title race continues as Team Del Conca Gresini heads to the north of France to take part in the fifth GP of the season at Le Mans. This traditional racetrack for Grand Prix motorcycle racing was the stage last year of a podium finish for Fabio Di Giannantonio and an unfortunate encounter for Jorge Martin.
Spain’s Martin, who had to sit out last week’s test at Alcañiz, was able to resume train last Thursday (cycling and gym) and will try to get to the weekend in a decent form, even though he will still most likely need some extra support from Clinica Mobile.
Le Mans has been a kind venue to Di Giannantonio in the recent past. In his first ever appearance three years ago, Fabio went very close to finishing in the points after a good qualifying (13th), while last year he managed to claim his second podium finish of the year after starting from row five.

“I like this track. Last year we were very competitive both in dry and wet conditions; unfortunately during the race, while I was pulling away with Fenati, I was slowed down by some oil on track which cost me my chances for the win. The hand is getting better: there’s nothing broken, but obviously we will have to wait and see how it will be in a few days. I will need some help from Clinica Mobile if I want to be competitive from Friday.”

“Le Mans is a mega track! I really like it a lot and words are not enough to describe it. It’s one of those track you really fall in love with at first sight, and I was fast there on my first year, too. I don’t want to make too many plans for the weekend: the goal is always the same, and if I felt I was ready in Jerez, now I’m even readier also thanks to last week’s test.”
