A POSITIVE RETURN FOR RODRIGO AT MISANO WITH ROSSI IN THE POINTS
Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3is back with the protagonists after a few Grand Prix of absence by placing both riders in the points in what was an elimination race (with 14 setbacks between crashes and retirements) especially due to extreme temperatures and slippery surface.
The best news is surely the return to action of Gabriel Rodrigo, who was not expecting such a complicated fitness-wise, but a seventh positions after more than two months of absence is proof that the Argentine rider is (almost) back. There is still something left in the tank to be at 100%, but the Aragon race in four days will be the right benchmark to arrive to the Asian tour at the top.
Riccardo Rossi can also leave Misano with a smile on his face after finding the first points of the season thanks to a fourteenth place at the flag. Too bad for the penalty received and the traffic on track which limited his changes.

“I suffered more than I thought, especially in the left-hands where I was struggling leg-wise. It was an up-and down weekend: we showed we were quick but we still missing something fitness-wise. We earned more points than we expected but we know have six races left to prepare next year to perfection. I will get to Aragon in a more relaxed mood and in better shape.”
14th– RICCARDO ROSSI #54
“We started well and we were in the front group. Then Sasaki crashed and to avoid it I went wide at Quercia, then a collision made me go all the way back to the end of the group. I tried to recover but then the tyre was sliding a bit too much. Touching the green stripe was inevitable and with the penalty I had to settle for two points. Truthfully we had the pace to stay with the leaders today, so I’m a bit disappointed.”
