MOTEGI: TOP10 FOR RODRIGO IN WET QUALIFYING
It was a difficult Saturday at Motegi for the Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3with the expected rain changing the conditions on track after FP3 this morning. Gabri Rodrigo and Riccardo Rossi put in around 10 laps each in the third free practice, with a target of finding the best set-up for afternoon qualifying.
Riccardo Rossi, who participated in Q1, did not find the right feeling on his Honda NSF250RW, finishing with the 25thbest time overall. For the Italian, who performed far better yesterday on a dry track, the hope for tomorrow will be to find conditions similar to those of Friday. With the soft tyre option already confirmed, for the race it will be important to take advantage of some fast riders close to him on the grid, which could help him to quickly climb up into the point scoring zone.
It was a good top 10 for Gabriel Rodrigo. Fifth overall in the dry, the Argentine performed well in the wet too, but with his feeling still to be confirmed 100% in those wet conditions, the rain did not help him on Saturday.

“I’m satisfied because this morning we had some problems, especially with the feeling. The line of work we chose in FP3 proved to be the right one, and in qualifying I was able to improve lap by lap. Considering that tomorrow’s race should be in the dry, we are not that far from the leaders and I’m sure we can do very well.”
25th – RICCARDO ROSSI #54 (2’11.794)
“Yesterday the feeling in the dry was very good, but today in the wet we struggled a bit. In FP3 we made a few mistakes… Let’s say that in the rain we are missing a little bit to match the pace of the best riders. We start in front of Arbolino, who could potentially be a “good train” to climb up positions tomorrow, so the hope is that it won’t rain because on this track the sensations change radically.”
