THE ELECTRIC SEASON STARTS AT JEREZ FOR INDONESIAN E-RACING GRESINI MOTOE
Two tests with some ups and downs and now it is time to race for Team Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE, who will make its debut this weekend with new colours and the same type of goals. Matteo Ferrari and Andrea Mantovani will be the protagonists of this 2021 season and the first event of the year is on paper a very interesting challenge.
Matteo Ferrari, title winner in 2019 and runner up last year, will aim at racing at the sharp end of the field and, to do so, he will need to bridge the gap with the quickest riders in the last test: his goal is to get the crown back.
Less pressure on the rookie Andrea Mantovani, who has already shown a great degree of adaptability in the category, and who will test his skills at Jerez de la Frontera from Friday 30 April with the first free practice session.

“We’re ready for Jerez! Surely, we analysed well all we did so far… Let’s say it’s been a different preseason: the first test went well as usual, even though we struggled a bit more. This also helps to keep the concentration high. Surely I need to improve and put something extra in terms of riding to return near the front; the team worked at their best these days in order for me to do it so I will do the same. It looks like it will be sunny, but in any case, we have a good base to work on. We have the title in mind, as always.”

“I hope to have a good weekend in Jerez and to improve… test didn’t go the way we wanted but to be matching Matteo’s times is already a good thing. We need to get a strong start in free practice and try to improve in every session. The goal is to do our best and to score as many points as possible. It will be my first official weekend in MotoE and I will do my best to start on the right foot.”
