TEAM DEL CONCA GRESINI LOOKING FOR CONFIRMATION AT SACHSENRING
With the summer break around the corner, Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3is ready to take on the ninth event of the MotoGP World Championship, which takes place one of the most iconic circuits for two-wheeled racing: the Sachsenring.
Jorge Martinarrives to Germany with two important goals: to forget last year’s crash, which kept him away from action for a few weeks, and to repeat the Ducth win in order to enter the break as leader. The Spanish rider will race on what he admits is ‘his favourite track’ and he can count on a Honda NSF250RW machine that is suiting his style better than ever.
Fabio Di Giannantonio will need to leave behind the two so-so performances and try not to lose touch with the leading duo Martin – Bezzecchi. The Italian is currently third in the standings with a 24-point gap from the top, and that means a strong result will be crucial even if this track might not be the best fit for him.
Moto3 action will get underway on Friday – following the traditional European timetable – with Free Practice at 9am local time.

“This is my favourite track and I have always been quick here since my first year in the series. We are very motivated after Holland: it was more than a win for me, because I never felt as good on the bike, so we really want to continue this way. The goal is to win and to get into the summer break as leaders; there’s also something we need to forget and that is last year’s crash, which means we have everything we need to do well.”

“It’s a particular track with a lot of mixed sections and a quite steep uphill section followed by a downhill one, where it’s important to have a good speed. This is where we’ll probably struggle the most, but last week I’ve worked hard in order to get a bit lighter to this event and struggle as little as possible. I like the track anyway; the last two weekends didn’t go too well, so it’s time to get back near the front.”
