#AUSTRIANGP: DIGGIA CHARGED UP AS MARTIN WANTS TO GIVE IT A GO

The second of two back-to-back MotoGP August races takes place this weekend, with the eleventh round of the Moto3 season that on paper could be one of the most complicated for Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3.

Jorge Martin will try: he will fly tomorrow to Austria in order to show up at the medical check-up at 16:30. Should he be declared ‘fit’, he will have the opportunity to get back on track in Friday’s free practice in order to evaluate the condition of his left wrist – which was surgically repaired only four days ago – under racing stress.

Fabio Di Giannantoniowill try to hold on to the great momentum shown at Brno, although the Red Bull Ring is not a track that suits his style too much.

JORGE MARTIN #88

“I feel a bit better: the wrist improves and together with my entourage we decided to fly to Austria and see what the doctors will tell us. I already want to get back on my Honda, but I’m under no illusion. If I pass the medical evaluation, then I will try to ride and from then we’ll see where we’re at.”

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“After the race win at Brno it’s natural that expectations, motivation and will are as high as ever, from my side but also from the team. We are relaxed, though: we have won a race, nothing more. We only want to keep our heads down and work well! The track will be very challenging, with many stop and go sections, which could represent a bit of an issue for us. We need to be even more mentally prepared if we want to make up for the disadvantages that might come from my body type. In any case, I like the track: it’s technical and quite fast. We’ll be there to try our best!”
