G.P.R. EXHAUST SYSTEM CHOOSES GRESINI ALSO FOR 2020
G.P.R. Exhaust System, an Italian company active for over 50 years in the production of exhaust systems and accessories for motorcycles, confirms its involvement as official Sponsor of Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 for three more years.
From 2017 until today, G.P.R. and Gresini have reached very important goals together, the biggest of which is represented by the two world titles (one rider and one team championship) achieved courtesy of 10 wins and 20 podium finishes. A partnership that had to continue in 2020, with the new line-up consisting of Gabriel Rodrigoand Jeremy Alcoba.
This agreement will keep the “made in Italy” as the protagonist in the quarter-litre class of MotoGP, with G.P.R. that will have visibility on the right arm of both riders’ leathers and will obviously supply the exhaust systems of the Honda machines #19 and #52. A “Made in Italy” with a green touch, with the Italian company that is committed to get to a zero-impact production starting from 2023.

“We reckoned it was crucial to renew the contract with Team Gresini, not only because of the wins of the last three years, but also because we represent one of the few positive exceptions in the sector with regards to environmental sustainability. The Team is present in MotoE and among the ones entering the new series it is arguably the most famous, so I guess it was not easy to make such a decision to cross this line in front of the public opinion. At the same time, GPR has made a huge step, which was not required either by the law or the market, but it was more of a choice by Mauro and Gianluigi Orlandi: to reconvert the whole production before 2023 in order to get to zero impact on the environment and demonstrate that any engineering product can be redesigned to reduce to the minimum its ‘polluting impact’ and then work on the compensation for the non ‘re-convertible’, with planting and energy self-production programmes. This is a challenge in every way, as exciting as the Moto3 season ahead!”
