UPHILL FREE PRACTICE FOR SAM LOWES IN AUSTRIA
Thirty-five laps completed and a lot of work in the pit-box for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2who completed the first day of action of #AustrianGP. Sam Lowes was 20thin the combined times of today’s two free practice session with a personal best lap-time of 1’29.680secs.
As it often happens in Moto2, a gap of six tenths of a second means the Briton is six positions away from a possible direct access to tomorrow’s Q2, even though Lowes is looking forward to trying and find a couple of tenths in free practice two in order to start qualifying two without having to battle through the first session.
With the weather still uncertain for tomorrow afternoon, Moto2 action will resume tomorrow morning at 10:55 local time (GMT+2).

“It wasn’t the perfect day I must say, but as usual lap-times are all very close. We worked a lot on the set-up for this track and we’re still trying to find the best solution. We surely lack two/three tenths of pace and I hope we’ll find them tomorrow. We need to improve on corner entry and we need something more on corners one, two, six and seven.”
