LOWES AMONG THE QUICKEST ON FRIDAY AT CHESTE
It was a positive day of Free Practice for Sam Lowes and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, who is en route to get direct access to tomorrow’s Q2 thanks to a fourth position in the combined times of today’s two free practice sessions.
The Briton, who was already near the front this morning despite the cold, worked with used tyres on his race pace and then went for the quick-lap attempt in the afternoon, clocking the right one in the last seconds of the session. His 1’34.328secs placed Lowes very close to the front row, which will be the goal for tomorrow.

I’m quite happy with this first day. We were quick in both sessions and we worked hard for the race – while trying different settings. I really care about doing well this weekend because it will be the last one with the team, who I care a lot about so I hope I will leave with a good memory.”
