NAVARRO CHARGED UP AHEAD OF TEAM FEDERAL OIL GRESINI’S HOME ROUND
Preparations are over for the home grand prix of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, with Jorge Navarroheading into the thirteenth event of the season with extra motivation also ‘thanks’ to the cancellation of all races at Silverstone two weeks ago.
The young Spanish rider has raced at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli three times (2014, 2016 and 2017) but saw the chequered flag only one. In his so-far only appearance aboard the Kalex Moto2 machine #9, Jorge suffered an unfortunate crash under at turn 11 under Misano’s pouring rain.
The goal for the weekend will be to return to the type of confidence shown at the Austrian Grand Prix while trying to collect some important points for his championship situation.
JORGE NAVARRO #9
“After an almost-surreal English weekend we are eaget to get back on track, especially on my team’s home track. It’s surely a very important race for us and we are getting there with some good momentum. The goal is to keep going this way and try to make a further step forward – I can’t wait to be back on the bike this Friday!”
