NAVARRO LOOKS FORWARD TO #AMERICASGP QUALIFYING

It was a positive opening day of action for Jorge Navarro at the Circuit Of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 took to the track for the first two free practice sessions of the third event of the season with the goal of turning the page on the short and unfortunate Argentine race.

The Spanish rider did not have the best of luck early on after suffering a clutch problem after few turns at the start of FP1, which forced him back at the pits for almost 30 minutes. During free practice 2, Navarro was definitely on another level and even ran as high as fourth in the session’s timesheets.

Navarro’s final result for today was anyway a positive one: a 10th place with only a half-second gap from the top – and almost one session less compared to his opponents. FP3 and Qualifying will be contested tomorrow from 10:55 and 15:05 local time (GMT -5), respectively.

10th – JORGE NAVARRO #9

“The morning was not the best, but with the few laps completed we were able to get some good information for FP2. Things went much better in the afternoon, we did some adjustments that worked well and I think everything is clear for tomorrow, even if it rains.”
