CLEAR GOALS AHEAD FOR TEAM DEL CONCA GRESINI AT MOTORLAND
With a title up for grabs and six Grand Prix still to be contested Jorge Martin, the championship leader and Fabio Di Giannantonio, third with a 29-point-gap from his team mate, are heading to Aragon both aware of how important this event represents before the Asian four-round stint gets underway.
The Spaniard has always been quick there, with a pole position – not a news – before narrowly missing out on a podium finish. Bezzecchi is only eight points away and the race will be more based around him rather than the win itself – with an eye on Di Giannantonio as well.
In 2017, the Italian battled for the win up to the finish line but had to surrender the top step to Mir with an unorthodox manoeuvre of the latter. Fabio hopes to be among the leading protagonists in the race, in order to close down the gap to the top of the standings and get with both feet into the title chase.
With a good and trouble-free test yesterday under their belts and positive feedback from both sides of the garage, the wait will be over at 9am local time of Friday as the first free practice of #AragonGP will begin.

“Aragon is a track we like: last year we had a tyre problem, but we were very quick in qualifying. We come from a test at Valencia that went really well as we improved a little the settings of our Honda. The goal will be to stay in front of Bezzecchi and increase our championship lead.”

“The Valencia test has been important, both with regards to the season finale and some tweaks to the set-up ahead of Aragon. After getting onto the podium at our home race I’m really charged up, and this track really excites me: I have always been strong there and last year we were really close to win the race, so I hope I can do well again and reduce the gap to the top of the standings.”
