FIRST BACK-TO-BACK RACES FOR TEAM FEDERAL OIL GRESINI MOTO2

Moto2 proceedings are ready to resume in Assen and the goal for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2is to build on the last two top-ten results achieved by Sam Lowesat Mugello and Barcelona. TT Circuit will host the first of two back-to-back racing weekends of the 2019 MotoGP World Championship calendar.

The Dutch venue is surely fond of memories for the Briton, who already won in World Supersport but was also twice on the Moto2 front row – in 2014 and 2015 – as well as on the podium (2015). Sachsenring is a very different circuit to Assen, but Lowes already showed what he is capable of on that track by getting a top-five finish both in 2015 and last year.

In order to get into the summer break on a high note, it will be crucial to bag a couple of strong results as Moto2 action will get underway this Friday at Assen from 10:55 (GMT+2) with the first free practice.

SAM LOWES #22

“Looking forward to Assen: it’s a circuit I love a lot and have good memories from winning in Word Supersport and getting onto the Moto2 podium in 2015. Building from the last two top-ten results I can’t wait to get started: Sachsenring is always a different style to most tracks but since I finished in the top-five last year so I am positive for this race! I enjoy back-to-back races and looking to making another step towards the front. Thanks as always to my team and all the fans for the support.”
