TEAM DEL CONCA GRESINI PREPARE FOR CRUCIAL RACE IN GERMANY
Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 is looking forward to getting on track for the second of two back-to-back races at Sachsenring, the venue hosting the ninth Grand Prix of the 2017 Moto3 World Championship. The overall feeling within the team is that a comeback is needed after neither Jorge Martin nor Fabio Di Giannantonio were able to live up to their potential in the Netherlands last Sunday.
Despite being able to chip away at the current leader’s advantage, Martin did his utmost to turn his sixth pole position in what would have been his maiden career’s win; he was eventually fourth at the chequered flag in one of the most hectic races in the history of the quarter-litre class of MotoGP. Fabio Di Giannantonio, on the other hand, was coming up strong after a poor qualifying performance but, unlike other races when he managed to complete the comeback in style, this time he crashed unhurt in the early stages of the encounter.
On-track action for the #GermanGP will begin at 9:00 local time (GMT +2) on Friday.

“The Sachsenring is one of my favourite tracks, if not my all-time favourite! We had a good result in Assen but it’s still not enough for me: the coming together with Ramirez prevented us from battling for the win – it was such a shame! In any case, I feel strong and I think we can get back in the mix for the win at the Sachsenring. The bike is almost perfect, aside from a small issue with the gearbox we had in the Netherlands that needs to be sorted out, but otherwise we’re ready!”

“We had a great race last year starting from 22nd place on the grid, which ended up with a fifth place in wet conditions. I was competitive on the dry and always felt great at this track. Having said that, I’ll make sure I’ll like it in any case because I need to make amends for the DNF at Assen, which still hurts.”
